After some problems with my visa extension I could leave for Bangkok. I met my aunt and a friend of mine there and we spend some beautiful days in the capital.
I went with my friend Gesche who is also an Afs teacher assistant to her hometown in Thailand, Amnatcharoen. After one week in her family, we could finally start our trip to Laos. I’m glad we went to this beautiful country I immediately fell in love with.
We took a bus to the north of Laos and stayed a few nights in Vientiane the small capital. Then we traveled to Luang Prabang a wonderful city in the mountains, on the riverbank of the Mekong. We organized trips to small villages, a boat tour, a trekking tour, we cycled around, learned how to cook laotian food and went elephant riding. It was amazing!
By sleeping bus we went down to the south. There, we could find a lot of waterfalls, coffee and tea plantations. The hole trip offered lots of experiences and fun. I’m looking forward to my next journey!
In Bangkok I met my father and brought him to Prachuap. We spent a few days here before he went back to Bangkok. I enjoyed the time with him!
I had great holidays but I'm also happy to be back home!
